
Hungarian Film Club Presents 6 Movie Classics With English Subtitles

The University Film Club at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics continues its successful run from last autumn into the spring semester. Organized by Krisztina Orbán, an expert at the Department of Sociology and Communication at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, the club aims to bring thought-provoking films to BME students and staff for discussion and enjoyment.
A diverse selection of films has been curated for the upcoming months, including both audience favorites and lesser-known gems. The screenings will take place in Room 404 of the Q building and will be subtitled in English, thanks to the National Film Institute’s support. Best of all, participation is free for BME students and staff.
Here is the schedule for the upcoming films:
- 27 February, 5:15 pm: Blue Pelican (Blue Pelican, László Csáki, 2023)
- 3 March, 17.15: Men on the Mountain (People on the Snow, István Szőts, 1941)
- 27 March, 17.15: Diary for My Children (diary for my children, Márta Mészáros, 1982)
- 10 April, 5:15 pm: Bald Dog (Bald Dog, György Thirsty, 1982)
- 8 May, 17.15: The Witness (The Witness, Peter Bacsó, 1969)
- 22 May, 5:15 pm: Sinbad (Sindbad, Zoltán Huszárik, 1971)
