Hungarian Government Supports Milorad Dodik in ‘Witch Hunt’ Claims
The president of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Republika Sprksa, Milorad Dodik, is facing accusations of being a victim of a “witch hunt” orchestrated from abroad, according to the parliamentary state secretary in Banja Luka. Hungary has pledged its support to Dodik amidst these allegations.
Levente Magyar, the parliamentary state secretary, emphasized Hungary’s support for the citizens of Republika Sprska and all of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He criticized the West for treating the country as a colony and for meddling in Balkan affairs, potentially leading to further turmoil in the region.
Magyar accused the West of attempting to smear President Dodik and the Serb community, portraying them as enemies. Hungary, along with Serbia, stands in solidarity with Bosnia and Herzegovina, aiming to counter western destabilization efforts in the region.
In addition to political support, Hungary is also assisting Bosnian farmers with modern equipment and implementing joint economic development programs. The strategic cooperation between Hungary and Republika Sprska is crucial for maintaining stability and upholding the Dayton Peace Agreement.
Dodik emphasized the importance of dialogue and cooperation with Republika Sprska, highlighting the need for solutions that involve all parties. The partnership between Hungary and the Bosnian Serbs will continue through various projects, fostering long-term economic and political collaboration.
