Hungarian National Economy Minister Nagy signs agreements in Bulgaria

National Economy Minister Martin Great has signed tourism, defence industry, and economic cooperation agreements during a visit to Bulgaria, his ministry said on Monday.

Nagy met with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, Deputy Prime Minister Grozdan Karadzhov, Minister of Economy and Industry Peter Dilov, and Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh during his visit. He congratulated establishing the new Bulgarian cabinet and said Hungary’s government aimed to broaden and strengthen further bilateral cooperation. A defence and economic cooperation agreement was signed to establish a logistics corridor connecting Hungarian businesses with strategic Black Sea ports and special economic zones. The sides also aim to establish a long-term strategic partnership in the defence industry, including cooperation in defence manufacturing and supply chain optimization.

Under the tourism agreement, the two countries’ tourism businesses and organizations will work together to promote tourism, explore the potential in wellness tourism, develop higher education and vocational training programs in the sector, and share know-how on statistical data collection, press release said.
