After the robbery, he evaded supervision, changed his appearance, and continued to live under a false identity. He eventually met a 66-year-old Miami senior, Carlos Villaquiran, under the alias Thomas Kray, and their relationship turned deadly, ending in Villaquiran’s tragic death.
Fingerprints found at the crime scenes led to Zsólyomi’s arrest and linked him to the murder of another disabled LGBTQ+ senior, 71-year-old Rodolfo Fernandez. Police suspect that Zsólyomi would have continued his killing spree if he had not been captured.
The Hungarian police have been looking for Zsólyomi for theft, fraud, and vandalism, issuing an arrest warrant against him in November 2022. His actions have shocked the local Hungarian community in Florida, with many expressing disbelief and disgrace over his crimes.
