Hungarians Captivated by Coronation of New King.

King Charles III was crowned in a grand ceremony at the ancient coronation church of the Anglo-British monarchy, Westminster Abbey, London on Saturday. The 22-carat, 2.3-kilogram gold crown was placed on his head by Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, in the presence of 2,300 invited guests. The church echoed with shouts of “God Save the King” as Archbishop Welby, followed by Prince William of Wales, Charles and the first-born son of the late Princess Diana, swore allegiance to the monarch. Charles III is the 39th monarch to be crowned in Westminster Abbey, and the oldest monarch to be crowned in the history of the Anglo-British monarchy at the age of 75. His wife, Camilla, was also crowned with the crown of Queen Mary by Archbishop Welby. The ceremony was attended by Hungary’s President Katalin Novák, the first time a sitting Hungarian head of state has attended a British coronation.
