Hungary ranks among top European countries for outdoor fitness activities

Outdoor workouts predicted to be biggest fitness trend this year, says Live Rugby Tickets
According to Live Rugby Tickets, outdoor workouts are set to be the biggest fitness trend this year. Not only do outdoor workouts improve energy and fitness but also have wellbeing benefits like reducing stress and boosting mood. With Budapest, Hungary having a number of outdoor public fitness parks, it is a great place to have an outdoor workout. Therefore, Live Rugby Tickets set out to discover which European countries are the best for outdoor workouts this summer.
Live Rugby Tickets created a points-based index system to evaluate several factors in 28 European countries, including average temperature, sunshine duration, humidity level, wind speed, pollen count, and hiking trails. Each country was ranked out of 100 for its suitability for an outdoor workout this summer. Spain was the ultimate European country for outdoor workouts with an overall score of 96.6, followed by France with 93.1 and Italy with 89.7. Germany had the highest number of hiking trails of all the countries analyzed but only ranked fourth overall. Greece had the highest average temperature in the top 10 and ranked fifth overall. Hungary ranked as the 10th best country in Europe for outdoor workouts, with an outdoor workout suitability score of 65.5/100.
Despite having a high pollen count and low number of hiking trails, Hungary still made the top 10 due to its average temperature of 21.35℃ and sunshine duration of 1107.72 hours. Spain had the second-highest average temperature of 21.71°C, and the country also had low humidity levels ideal for outdoor workouts. France had medium pollen count and low rainfall, which contributed to its high suitability score. Italy had the third-highest sunshine hours in the top ten, and its low wind speed made it beneficial for outdoor workouts.
Fitness expert Carley Mellors-Blair explains that exercising in high humidity can lead to dehydration, and low humidity levels are beneficial for outdoor workouts. She also added that too much exercise can also cause more problems than positive effects.
