
Hungary’s Star-Studded Summer: Austin Butler to American Punk Band Flock to Budapest

American actor Austin Butler recently shared his experiences filming the second installment of Dune in Hungary alongside renowned stars like Florence Pugh, Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and more. During the New York premiere of the film, Butler expressed his love for Hungary, describing it as a beautiful country where he had spent an extended period during filming.
Butler revealed that he and Florence Pugh had explored Hungary together, encouraging each other to break away from their acting roles and immerse themselves in the country’s culture. Their adventures left a lasting impression on both actors, adding to the long list of celebrities who have been captivated by Hungary’s charm.
Meanwhile, the iconic American band Circle Jerks is set to make their debut appearance in Hungary, performing at the Dürer Kert Great Hall on 29 May. With their raw energy and timeless album Group Sex celebrating its 40th anniversary, the band promises to captivate audiences with their hardcore punk sensation.
Joining the original founders of Circle Jerks are guitarist Zander Schloss and drummer Joey Castillo, known for their work with Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal. The opening act will feature the Hungarian punk ensemble, Böiler, led by János Riger, who has garnered attention for their unique approach within the punk scene.
