Aydın Öztürk, a 40-year-old construction worker residing in the Başaran District of Osmangazi, recently experienced a devastating incident after leaving his house to attend a funeral. Little did he know that this would be the beginning of a series of events that would lead to the loss of their life savings.
On his way to the funeral, Öztürk received a call from an individual claiming to be a member of the gendarmerie. The fraudster informed him that his name had been implicated in a theft case and urged him to exchange his gold for cash, deposit the money into a specified account, and report to the courthouse immediately to resolve the matter.

However, what he did not realize was that his wife, Münnever Öztürk, was now the target of the fraudsters. They contacted her and repeated the same story, convincing her to hand over 33 Cumhuriyet gold coins, valued at 400,000 liras, which were kept in their home.
It was only when Aydın Öztürk arrived at the courthouse and discovered that no such request had been made by the gendarmerie that he realized they had fallen victim to a scam. Distraught and feeling betrayed, he immediately shared the situation with his wife. Both of them filed a complaint with the police, hoping that justice would be served.
