
Illegal Entry: 9 Parrots Taken into Protection

Officials Conduct Raid and Rescue Smuggled Parrots in Bursa
A recent joint operation conducted by the Nature Conservation and National Parks Bursa Provincial Directorate and the Police Department has resulted in the seizure of 9 green parrots that were illegally smuggled into the country. The parrots, considered exotic species and originating from the Indian subcontinent and the African region, were found during a raid on a residence.
Upon the discovery of the smuggled parrots, the animals were swiftly taken under the protection of the Nature Conservation and National Parks Bursa Provincial Directorate. Additionally, the individual suspected of being involved in the smuggling operation was fined a total of 47 thousand liras for their illegal activities.
The raid serves as a reminder of the importance of wildlife conservation and the prevention of illegal wildlife trafficking.
