Meteorology Forecast: Snow and Rain Expected in Various Regions
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the upcoming days, predicting various weather conditions across different regions of Turkey. According to the estimates, coastal Aegean, Balıkesir’s western coasts, Edirne, and Çanakkale will experience light rain and torrential rain. In the inner and eastern parts of the country, icing and frost are expected, along with haze and fog in some areas.
The air temperature is expected to be above seasonal norms, while the wind will be light from the south, occasionally reaching moderate strength and even blowing strong in certain regions. There is also a high danger of avalanches on the high and steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.
A strong wind warning has been issued for the west of Marmara and the coastal Aegean, urging residents to be cautious. Additionally, an avalanche danger warning with ice and frost incidents is in effect for the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia.
In Istanbul, snow is expected to arrive on February 4-5, with colder temperatures continuing until the 11th of the month. Other regions across Turkey will also experience snowfall and cold weather in the coming days.
