Impressions of Last Person to See Szilárd Suhajda.

Hungarian climber Szilárd Suhajda, who attempted to climb Mount Everest without oxygen tanks and sherpas, lost his life on his summit attempt. The last person to see him alive, mountaineer and filmmaker Elia Saikaly, told Hungarian outlet Glance that he was almost certain that Suhajda would not survive the attempt due to bad timing, weather conditions, and Suhajda’s slow speed. Saikaly explained that Suhajda was seen sitting at the Balcony, looking tired, when Ben Ferrer, a member of the Seven Summit Climbs team, encountered him. Ferrer assumed that Suhajda was letting his team know his turnaround point but Suhajda got up and continued his climb. Suhajda’s belongings were found at 6,500 meters by sherpas, which were identified by the logos of the companies that supported his expedition. The search for missing persons on Everest, including Suhajda and a sherpa, is still ongoing despite bad weather conditions.
