Improved Budapest Airport Express Bus Service Starts this Weekend
Increased frequency for the 100E Budapest Airport Express bus
With the summer months approaching, the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) has announced that the 100E Budapest Airport Express bus will be running more frequently between Deák Ferenc Square and Liszt Ferenc International Airport. Starting this week, buses will depart from the terminus every 7-8 minutes on weekdays, providing a more convenient transportation option for travelers.
The express service will be tailored to the airport’s peak traffic times, with more frequent departures towards the airport in the morning and towards the city centre in the evening. The 100E Airport Express route includes stops at Deák Ferenc Square, Kálvin Square, and the airport, offering a direct and efficient connection between the city centre and the airport.
While there is currently no train service between Budapest Airport and the city centre, discussions are underway for potential train connections in the future. The Hungarian government has been exploring options for a train line to the airport, with potential collaborations with Chinese investors to develop a high-speed railway link between the airport and the city centre.
In the meantime, the 100E Budapest Airport Express bus remains a popular and practical choice for travelers needing transportation to and from the airport. With increased frequency and efficient service, passengers can rely on the Airport Express for a seamless journey between Liszt Ferenc International Airport and Budapest’s main transport hub at Deák Ferenc Square.
