Increase in Export Fund Interruption for Table Eggs Announced in Official Gazette

The fund interruption for the export of table eggs has been increased from $0.5 per kilogram to $1.5 per kilogram, according to a decision made by the President and published in the Official Gazette. This decision has come into effect immediately.
In a statement by the Ministry of Commerce, it was emphasized that the increase in the fund interruption aims to ensure sustainable food supply in Türkiye, eliminate risks, and provide domestic consumption at reasonable prices for citizens. The implementation of 50 cents per kilogram started on February 25, 2025, with the following observations:
Despite the disinflationist effects of the application, the upward price movement continued due to ongoing external demand for table eggs from our country. The increase in the deduction amount for table egg exports from $0.5 to $1.5 per kilogram aims to contribute to price stability and make it easier for citizens to access the product at reasonable prices. Moving forward, collaboration and coordinated efforts will continue with all relevant stakeholders in the public and private sectors, particularly with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. All policy and audit tools will be utilized to protect food supply and security and prevent speculation in food markets.
