
Increased and Expanded Occupational Health and Safety Inspections by BRTK

The Department of Labor in the country has announced plans to increase inspections in the field of occupational health and safety across all sectors. This decision comes in response to recent work accidents, with a statement expressing deep sadness for every incident.
One such accident occurred on January 18th in Akçiçek, where a worker named MD Ali Akbar from Bangladesh sustained serious injuries. The incident took place at Sert-Kaya Stone Breaking Plants Ltd., where the worker lost control of a truck and ended up in an accident.
Labor Department inspectors have been actively involved in investigating the incident, gathering information and documents from the scene. The workplace where the accident occurred is currently being scrutinized under the scope of various laws related to occupational health and safety.
In cooperation with the General Directorate of Police, the Labor Department is committed to ensuring accident-free, healthy, and safe working conditions for all employees. Inspections will be intensified across the country to prevent any future accidents caused by negligence.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has also introduced an Emergency Plan to enforce sector-specific occupational health and safety measures. Starting in February, inspections will be conducted throughout the country to uphold the safety and well-being of employees.
It is evident that the Labor Department is dedicated to promoting a safe working environment for all individuals, emphasizing the importance of vigilance and adherence to regulations in preventing work accidents.
