Inflation Announcement Scheduled for Monday
According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT), the January inflation figures will be announced on Monday, marking the first inflation data of the year.
The results of an expectation survey on January inflation data, with the participation of 20 economists, revealed an average inflation expectation of 4.29 percent. The economists’ predictions for January ranged from a low of 3.75 percent to a high of 5 percent.
Based on the average of economists’ January inflation expectations, the annual inflation rate, which stood at 44.38 percent in the previous month, is expected to decrease to 41.11 percent.
Looking ahead, economists’ end-of-year 2025 inflation expectation as of January is 27.58 percent.
