Injured While Walking: Shooting in Malatya
A shooting incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in the Kernek Neighborhood of the Battalgazi district. Allegedly, a man identified as U.Ö. was walking on the sidewalk on Şehit Hamit Fendoğlu Street when a passing vehicle opened fire with a gun. The gunfire resulted in U.Ö. being injured by a bullet that struck his left heel, causing him harm. The vehicle quickly fled the scene after the shooting took place.
Authorities were alerted to the incident, and police and medical teams arrived promptly at the location. U.Ö. was then rushed to Malatya Training and Research Hospital for treatment of his injuries sustained in the shooting.
During their investigation at the scene, authorities discovered an empty cartridge which was believed to be related to the shooting. An operation has since been launched in an effort to identify and apprehend the suspect responsible for the incident.
The motive behind the shooting and the identity of the perpetrator remains unknown at this time. Authorities continue to investigate the case to bring justice to the victim and ensure the safety of the community.
