Inside the Colombian Cartel: A Docuseries Journey
Police in Turkey have successfully dismantled a Colombian drug cartel after receiving a tip-off from an informant. The suspect, who was known to frequent the Bursa Gemlik area, led authorities to believe that the drugs would be arriving by sea.
In a carefully planned operation, the police were able to identify the ship carrying the illicit drugs and apprehend eight suspects. A total of 373 kilos of cocaine, with an estimated market value of 530 million TL, were seized during the operation.
Additionally, the main Colombian suspect was apprehended at the airport as he attempted to flee the country. This successful operation marks a significant victory in the fight against drug trafficking in Turkey. Authorities continue to work tirelessly to combat the illegal drug trade and keep communities safe from the harmful effects of narcotics.
