Intermediate Region Leaders’ Meeting Scheduled for Today – BRTK
President Ersin Tatar and Greek Cypriot President Nikos Hristodulidis are set to meet in the buffer zone today. The meeting, which will be facilitated by the United Nations Secretary General Colin Stewart, will commence at 9:00 am.
This meeting comes after President Tatar and Greek Cypriot leader Hristodulidis previously met at the 5+1 unofficial Cyprus summit in Geneva on March 17-18. The summit included representatives from the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot sides, as well as the guarantor countries of Turkey, Greece, and the UK. Similar discussions took place at a summit in July, with UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres acknowledging “significant progress” in his evaluation of the negotiations.
