International Police Officers Assist Hungarian Authorities at Sziget Festival
Dutch Police Assist Hungarian Counterparts at Sziget Festival
According to a spokesman from the Budapest police headquarters, Dutch police officers are currently aiding their Hungarian counterparts at the Sziget Festival. While the Dutch officers are not able to act independently, they are providing assistance to the Hungarian police, mainly with communications, said Soma Csécsi during a press conference.
The Sziget Festival, a popular music festival in Budapest, has attracted a large number of Dutch visitors. To help manage the influx of festival-goers, a Prevention Point has been established on the festival grounds. The main purpose of the Prevention Point is to assist individuals who may have lost their official documents during the event.
In addition to providing support at the festival grounds, plainclothes police officers have been deployed to prevent criminal activity and apprehend any offenders. This collaborative effort between the Dutch and Hungarian police aims to ensure the safety and security of all attendees at the Sziget Festival.
