Interpol’s Global Search Ends in Turkey: Fugitive Captured

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on social media that three wanted foreign nationals were captured in a special operation conducted in various districts of Istanbul and Muğla. The operation, known as “Well-13,” was a joint effort by the Interpol-Europol Department.

One of the individuals captured was “Alexander Gustafsson,” who had entered Turkey using a fake Polish passport and ID card under the name of “Aleksander Kawa.” Gustafsson, a Polish national, was apprehended in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. Another individual, “Alexandar Nedevskı,” was caught in Bodrum, Muğla, after entering Turkey with a Kosovo passport issued under the name “Besnik Lajqı.” Lastly, “Dragon Pavlicevic,” who had an Interpol red notice issued by Montenegrin authorities, was captured in Avcılar, Istanbul.

Minister Yerlikaya revealed that Gustafsson had sold $100 million worth of drugs to 17,000 individuals through the dark web. Additionally, Pavlicevic was involved in shipping 1 ton 570 kilos of cocaine with criminal organizations in various countries such as Montenegro, Colombia, Ecuador, Australia, and the Netherlands. He was also responsible for transporting 900 kilograms of cocaine obtained from Ecuador with other criminal organization members.

The successful operation highlights the cooperation between national and international law enforcement agencies in combating organized crime and apprehending individuals involved in illegal activities.
