Investigation Launched into Alleged Sabotage at Teknecik Power Plant

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel has taken action to investigate the ongoing power outages at the Teknecik Power Plant, suspecting the possibility of sabotage. He visited the power plant to receive information from officials and hold a meeting to address the situation.
During his visit, Üstel expressed his concern over the power outages that have left the people without electricity for two days. He called on the police force to launch an investigation into the potential sabotage.
Accompanied by KIB-TEK General Manager Dalman Aydın and other officials, Üstel inspected the power plant and discussed measures to resolve the energy problem in the country. He emphasized the importance of finding a radical solution while expressing disappointment over the sabotage suspicions.
The Prime Minister highlighted the unprecedented nature of the situation, including smoke coming out of steam turbines and the malfunction of mobile generators. He urged cooperation from all parties to ensure a swift restoration of electricity to affected areas.
In response to criticism about lack of investment in KIB-TEK, Üstel defended the government’s actions by announcing plans to purchase four additional mobile generators through an international tender. He reassured the public that efforts were being made to improve the functioning of the power plant and address the electricity deficit.
Üstel reiterated the government’s commitment to investing in the institution and ensuring a reliable supply of electricity for the people. He emphasized the importance of international tenders and transparency in the procurement process to achieve long-term stability in the energy sector.
As the investigation into the power outages continues, Üstel affirmed that all necessary measures would be taken to prevent future disruptions and protect the interests of the people.
