Iran Warns of Serious Consequences for Aggression
Iran’s United Nations Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Said Iravani, recently condemned the “unfounded and provocative” statements made by US officials against Tehran. In a letter to the UN Security Council, Iravani rejected President Trump’s threats and accusations towards Iran.
The letter highlighted that Trump’s warnings of “terrible consequences” and attributing any aggressive actions to the United States were baseless. Specifically, the accusations of supplying weapons to the Houthis in Yemen were refuted, with the statement clarifying that the Yemeni people act independently in their decision-making and actions.
Moreover, Iran’s representative emphasized that the attacks by the US and Britain on Yemen posed a threat to peace and stability in the region. These actions were deemed a clear violation of Yemen’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The letter called for the Security Council to take necessary measures against the US attacks and threats.
