İskele Mayor Sadıkoğlu Holds Meeting with Büyükçekmece Mayor Akgün
Iskele Mayor Hasan Sadıkoğlu Strengthens Sister City Relationship with Büyükçekmece
Iskele Mayor Hasan Sadıkoğlu recently met with Büyükçekmece Mayor Hasan Akgün in Istanbul to discuss various projects and activities between their municipalities.
According to a statement released by Iskele Municipality, Sadıkoğlu visited Mayor Akgün at his office, where they talked about the ongoing projects in both municipalities, as well as social and cultural activities.
During the meeting, Sadıkoğlu highlighted the strong bond between Iskele and Büyükçekmece, mentioning that they signed a sister city protocol back in 2003. He emphasized that their relationship has been growing stronger each day, contributing to the development of both cities’ visions.
Sadıkoğlu expressed his gratitude towards Mayor Akgün for his hospitality and the support of all municipality employees in the field of culture and arts. He conveyed the warm greetings and love of the people of Iskele and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to Mayor Akgün.
Accompanied by his wife Özlem Sadıkoğlu, Iskele Mayor Hasan Sadıkoğlu was welcomed by Deputy Mayor Muzaffer Cive, Council Members Tarık Erdoğan, Hakan Çebi, and Hilmican Demir from Büyükçekmece Municipality.
The meeting between the two mayors not only strengthens the bond between Iskele and Büyükçekmece but also sets the stage for future collaboration and partnership in various areas for the benefit of both communities.
