Israeli Army Lifts Restrictions in Upper Galilee Settlements, then Reactivates Security Measures
After a period of assessment, the Israeli army announced this morning that the restrictions imposed on Israeli settlements near the border in the Upper Galilee have been lifted. This decision was made in alignment with the directives of the Israeli Home Front Command.
However, just hours after this initial statement, the Israeli army reinstated security measures in the region with a new announcement. It was emphasized that residents should adhere to the statements issued by the Internal Security Command. As part of these security measures, residents were urged to reduce mobility in settlements, avoid gathering in groups, monitor settlement gates, and remain close to protected areas.
Tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, which have been ongoing since October 8, intensified following recent incidents in Lebanon. Pagers and radios were detonated in Lebanon on September 17-18, further exacerbating the situation.
Yesterday, the Israeli army conducted two separate “large-scale” airstrikes on various areas in southern Lebanon. The situation remains dynamic, with ongoing efforts to maintain security and stability in the region.
