Israel to Impose Restrictions on Masjid al-Aqsa During Ramadan

Israeli government spokesman David Mencer announced that security restrictions will be in place at Masjid al-Aqsa this year, as in previous years. The decision comes in light of past violent incidents at the holy site, with the aim of preventing further conflicts.
Details of the security measures have not been disclosed, but last year, Israel only allowed men over 55, women over 50, and children under 10 to enter Masjid al-Aqsa. Thousands of Israeli police have been deployed in the Old City region of occupied East Jerusalem to ensure the safety and security of the area.
The restrictions at Masjid al-Aqsa have been a contentious issue, with many Palestinians viewing them as an infringement on their religious rights. However, Israel maintains that they are necessary to maintain peace and prevent violence. The situation at Masjid al-Aqsa remains volatile, and it is unclear how long the security measures will be in place.
