Israeli Army Fails to Uphold Ceasefire Agreement with Lebanon

Israeli Army Violations Increase in Lebanon Since Ceasefire
Since the ceasefire was declared on November 27, the Israeli army has been escalating its violations in southern Lebanon, with the number of incidents reaching 259. Reports indicate that 31 people have died and 37 others have been injured in these attacks.
According to the Lebanese news agency NNA, houses in Kefr Kila were blown up by the Israeli army, causing tremors to be felt in the region due to the intensity of the explosions. Additionally, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to the Israeli army was spotted flying over the city of Sur.
The Alma al-Shaab area on the Israeli border and houses in the town of Tayr Harfa were targeted by the Israeli army, while military bulldozers demolished houses in the town of Nakura. The ongoing violence has resulted in a significant number of casualties, with data from the Lebanese Ministry of Health indicating that over 4,000 people, including women, children, and healthcare workers, have lost their lives, and over 16,000 people have been injured since October 8, 2023.
The ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel went into effect on November 27 at 04:00 local time. Despite the agreement, the Israeli army’s continued violations have raised concerns about the safety and security of the region. The international community must take action to ensure the protection of civilians and uphold the ceasefire agreement to prevent further loss of life.
