Israeli army air strike kills 4 Palestinians in Gaza
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the Israeli army conducted an air attack on a house in the Sheikh Ridvan District of the northern Gaza city, resulting in the deaths of 4 Palestinians and the injury of 14 others, including 8 children.
The attack comes in the midst of escalating tensions in the region, with Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launching a comprehensive attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. The attack was carried out in response to what Hamas described as “continuous violations against the Palestinians and sacred values, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
Since October 7, Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of 36,731 Palestinians, including at least 15,517 children and 10,279 women. Additionally, 83,530 people have been injured in the ongoing conflict.
The situation in Gaza remains volatile as both sides continue to exchange fire, leading to further casualties and destruction. The international community has called for an immediate ceasefire and a return to negotiations to resolve the underlying issues fueling the conflict.
