Israeli Army’s Attack in Central Gaza Claims 10 Palestinian Lives
Israeli Airstrikes in Gaza Kill Dozens, Injure Many
According to reports from the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the Israeli army carried out airstrikes targeting residential areas in the Burayj and Nusayrat Refugee Camps in the central part of the Gaza Strip.
The attack on the house of the “Akl” family in Burayj resulted in the tragic deaths of 6 women and children, with another 15 individuals sustaining injuries. The victims were taken to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Belah, and rescue operations are underway to save those trapped under the rubble.
In a separate incident, 4 Palestinians lost their lives when the Israeli army targeted the house belonging to the “Ebu Nar” family on Twentieth Street in Nusayrat. Additionally, individuals injured in an attack in the Musbih region in Rafah were transported to the European Hospital in the city for treatment.
Since October 7, Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of 36,439 Palestinians, including thousands of children and women, and left 82,627 people injured. Reports indicate that there are still many individuals trapped beneath the rubble, while essential infrastructure such as hospitals and schools are being destroyed.
In response to the escalating violence, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued a decision on May 24 demanding that Israel immediately cease its attacks on Rafah, allow humanitarian aid to flow unimpeded, and permit UN officials to conduct investigations into the crimes being committed.
The situation in Gaza remains critical as innocent civilians continue to suffer the devastating consequences of the ongoing conflict.
