Israeli forces detain 5 Palestinians in West Bank raid
Israeli Army Raids West Bank Town, Detains Young People
According to reports from Palestine’s official agency WAFA, the Israeli Army conducted a raid in the town of Dura, located in the south of Al-Khalil in the West Bank. The raid involved a large number of military vehicles and resulted in the detention of two young people.
During the raid, Israeli soldiers fired upon Palestinians and deployed tear gas bombs, leading to confrontations in the town. Activists shared images showing the Israeli soldiers firing in the midst of the town and apprehending the young individuals.
In another incident, the Israeli army raided the town of Beyt Emir in the north of Al Khalil, leading to clashes between Palestinians and the soldiers. The Israelis used real and plastic bullets, as well as sound and gas bombs, causing many people to be affected by the gas. One 23-year-old man, Ibrahim Ahmed Sami Sabarina, was detained during the raid.
The use of real and plastic bullets, along with sound and gas bombs, caused numerous injuries and affected many residents during the Israeli army’s raid in the southern countryside of Bethlehem. The army also closed the iron barriers at the entrances to villages in that area.
In a separate incident, the Israeli army raided the suburb of Zinaba in the east of Tulkerim city in the north of the West Bank, detaining two more young people.
The escalating tensions in the West Bank have raised concerns over the safety and well-being of the Palestinian residents, as clashes between Israeli forces and civilians continue to occur.
