Israeli forces shoot Palestinian ambulance driver in the West Bank

A Palestinian ambulance driver lost his life during a raid by armed illegal Jewish settlers in the West Bank town of Nablus. The 48-year-old driver, Mohammed Avadallah Musa, was shot and killed while trying to evacuate injured individuals during the attack.

The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed the tragic incident, reporting that another Palestinian was injured in the chest and a third was injured in the face by live bullets during the violence. The organization attributed the fatal shot to Israel, but did not specify whether it was fired by the illegal settlers or Israeli soldiers.

The violence against Palestinians in the West Bank has escalated since the death of a 14-year-old Jewish settler near Ramallah on October 7. Following the incident, armed settlers raided 17 Palestinian towns over the course of two days, setting fire to homes, cars, and businesses, as well as attacking local residents. The attacks resulted in the deaths of two Palestinians, with many others sustaining injuries from live ammunition.

In response to the rising violence, the European Union and the USA have sanctioned four Jewish settlers and two associated organizations involved in the attacks. The measures aim to hold those responsible for the violence against Palestinians accountable and prevent further escalations in the region.
