Israeli Forces Target Palestinian Civilians in Gaza

At least 26 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Attacks on Gaza Strip

The Civil Defense Directorate in Gaza reported that at least 26 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air and artillery attacks on various parts of the Gaza Strip. Mahmoud Basal, the spokesman for the Directorate, provided details on the casualties.

Two Palestinians lost their lives in an artillery attack on the town of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, while 21 Palestinians were killed in three separate airstrikes in Gaza City. Among the casualties was a group of five Palestinians, including 2 children and 1 woman, who were targeted in an attack on the Zeytun Martyrs School in the Az-Zeytun Neighborhood.

Additionally, at least two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack on a house in the Al-Meghazi Refugee Camp in central Gaza, and one Palestinian lost their life in an attack on a tent where refugees were staying in the Attar area of the southern Khan Younis district.

The attacks on schools where displaced Palestinians have sought refuge have been particularly devastating. Since the start of the war in Gaza on October 7, a total of 41,182 Palestinians have been killed and 95,280 injured in Israel’s assaults on the Gaza Strip. Among the casualties, at least 16,715 were children and 11,308 were women.

The escalating violence in Gaza continues to claim innocent lives and cause widespread destruction. The international community has been called upon to intervene and put an end to the bloodshed in the region.
