Israeli Soldier Destroys Palestinian Home: “Your House Was Nice, but Now It’s Unusable”

Israeli soldiers conducted a 14-hour raid in Tulkerim today, targeting the house of Palestinian resident Ahmed Nasr in the Ektaba district. Nasr, along with his wife and 3-year-old twins, narrowly escaped being hit by Israeli bullets during the attack.
Recounting the harrowing experience to an AA correspondent, Nasr described how gunshots surrounded their house in the morning, causing them to take cover under the bed for nearly 40 minutes. Despite shouting and seeking clarity on the situation, their pleas went unanswered. The family’s car parked outside was hit by an Energa anti-tank missile and left completely destroyed.
Following a fruitless search for a supposed “wanted” individual, Israeli soldiers informed Nasr that their house, once beautiful, was now unusable. Expressing his dismay over the damage incurred, Nasr highlighted the unjustness of the situation, with his father’s car burnt and the house riddled with bullet holes.
The Israeli army’s incursion into Tulkerim led to armed clashes with Palestinians resisting the raid, culminating in the tragic deaths of three individuals when an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) bombed a Palestinian home. The toll of the violent confrontation underscores the ongoing tensions and conflicts in the region, leaving families like Nasr’s grappling with the aftermath of such hostile actions.
