Israeli soldiers detain 25 Palestinians in West Bank raid

Israeli Army Increases Detentions and Raids in West Bank

The Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and the delegation of the Palestinian Prisoners Society have issued a joint statement regarding the escalating attacks by Israeli soldiers on the Palestinian people in the West Bank.

According to the statement, Israeli troops have intensified their detention and raid activities in various cities of the West Bank, leading to the arrest of at least 25 Palestinians, including former prisoners.

The Israeli army has been conducting raids on refugee camps in Cenin and Tulkerim for weeks, with dozens of families having their homes turned into military headquarters.

Despite the ceasefire in Gaza that came into effect on January 19, the Israeli Army launched an attack on the city of Cenin on January 21, located in the north of the West Bank under occupation.

Since the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, there has been a surge in detentions, raids, and attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

In the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, 167 children have lost their lives in the attacks by Israeli troops, while nearly 7,000 people have been injured and 15,700 individuals have been detained. The violence and unrest continue to escalate in the region, raising concerns for the safety and well-being of the Palestinian population.
