Israeli Warplanes Strike Eastern Lebanon in Deadly Attack
Israeli attacks on Gaza and Lebanon continue to escalate, causing devastation and casualties on both sides. According to reports from Lebanon’s official news agency NNA, one person was killed and several others, including 3 women from the same family, were injured in an attack by Israeli warplanes on the town of Saide in the west of Baalbek.
In response to these attacks, Hezbollah has retaliated with missiles, UAVs, and artillery fire targeting both civilian settlements and military areas on the Israeli side. The conflict has been ongoing since early October, resulting in a significant loss of life and destruction of infrastructure.
Since October 7, 2023, in Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip, over 41 thousand Palestinians, including many children and women, have lost their lives and nearly 100 thousand people have been injured. The attacks have also led to the destruction of hospitals and educational institutions where civilians sought shelter.
The Israeli army has been engaged in clashes with Hezbollah since October 8, 2023, launching numerous air strikes on Lebanon’s southern cities, as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions. The Lebanese Ministry of Health has reported a total of 2,119 fatalities, including children and women, since the conflict began.
The escalating violence and loss of life in Gaza and Lebanon highlight the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict and an end to the suffering of innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.
