Israel’s Attacks on Gaza: 1091 Babies Killed by Killers
The Director of the Media Office of the government in Gaza, Ismail es-Sevabite, has revealed shocking information regarding infant deaths in the Gaza Strip. According to Sevabite, the Israeli occupation army has killed 238 babies born during the genocidal war in Gaza, along with an additional 853 babies born before the war who had not yet reached the age of one.
Sevabite condemned these heinous crimes as a clear violation of international and humanitarian law, particularly the Convention on the Rights of the Child. He emphasized that targeting babies is a “clear war crime” and called for immediate investigations by the international community, including the United Nations and the International Criminal Court.
The tragic deaths of these innocent babies, most of whom perished in their mothers’ arms or in hospitals, underscore the ruthless and inhumane behavior of the Israeli occupation forces. Sevabite stressed that these crimes not only devastate Palestinian families but also aim to destroy future generations.
The recent displacement of more than 2 million Palestinians in Gaza due to ongoing Israeli attacks has left many struggling to survive in makeshift tents. The situation has become dire, with 7 people, including 6 babies, dying from cold in the region in the last week alone.
Since October 7, a staggering number of Palestinians, including a significant proportion of children and women, have lost their lives or been injured in Israel’s relentless assaults on Gaza. The destruction of civilian infrastructure, including hospitals and schools where people sought refuge, has further exacerbated the crisis.
Sevabite called on the world media to shine a light on these atrocities and urged the international community to take decisive action to stop the ongoing violence against the Palestinian people. He emphasized that these crimes must not be forgotten, and those responsible must be held accountable for their actions.
