Israel’s Controversial Expansion of Attacks in Gaza Sparks Outrage
The Israeli army has escalated its attacks in the north of Gaza, specifically targeting the west of Beit Hanun. The Kfir Brigade, previously located in Beit Lahiya, has been moved to this area according to a statement released by the Israeli army.
The decision to expand the attacks to the west of Beit Hanun was reportedly made after intelligence indicated the presence of terrorist infrastructures in the region. Israeli warplanes and artillery units have conducted air strikes and fired artillery in the area before the Kfir Brigade entered.
Since October 5, the Israeli army has imposed a tight siege on the towns of Jibaliya, Beit Lahiya, and Beit Hanun in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. The attacks have resulted in a devastating toll on the Palestinian population, with 45,129 people killed, including approximately 17,492 children and 11,979 women. Additionally, 107,338 people have been injured in the violence.
Reports indicate that there are still many casualties buried under the rubble, and civilian infrastructure such as hospitals and educational institutions have been targeted and destroyed. This has further exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the region.
In the midst of these attacks, international attention has been drawn to the situation, with concerns raised about the escalating violence and the need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The world watches as the people of Gaza continue to suffer amid the ongoing hostilities.
