Israel’s Doomsday Weapons: A Threat to the Middle East
Iran’s proxy forces, Hezbollah and the Houthis, have entered the conflict between Israel and Hamas, with tensions escalating in the region. The Tehran administration recently launched an attack against Israel, marking a historic first. Israel, in response, has been preparing for a potential large-scale war against Hezbollah, a group with deep ties to Iran and other Iran-backed organizations in the region.
Hezbollah, believed to have a significant number of fighters and access to advanced weaponry from Iran, poses a formidable challenge to Israel’s security. Western countries, including the United States and U.S.-allied Gulf Arab states, have labeled Hezbollah as a terrorist organization due to its involvement in regional conflicts.
In preparation for a potential conflict with Iran and its proxies, Yair Katz, President of the Israeli Aerospace Workers Council, has emphasized Israel’s readiness to use “doomsday weapons” if faced with an existential threat. He highlighted the support provided by Western countries in terms of intelligence sharing and assistance.
Katz expressed satisfaction at being able to defend the State of Israel after years of preparation, stating, “I have been working for thirty years to see this night, and we are happy that we saved the State of Israel.” The ongoing tensions in the region underscore the volatile nature of the conflict and the need for continuous vigilance and preparedness on all sides.
