Istanbul Airport Reaches Second Highest Number of Flights
On the eve of Eid al-Adha, Istanbul Airport experienced a record-breaking number of flights with a total of 1642 flights, including 831 arrivals and 811 departures. This marks the second-highest number of flights ever recorded at the airport, solidifying its position as a leader in Europe in terms of flight operations.
Last year, on June 10, 2023, following the UEFA Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter, Istanbul Airport set an all-time record with 1794 planned flights and 1690 actual flights. This demonstrates the airport’s consistent growth and capacity to handle a large volume of air traffic.
