Istanbul Governor’s Office Warns of Cold and Rainy Weather
The Istanbul Governor’s Social Media account recently issued a statement regarding the weather forecast for the upcoming days. According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, a new cold and rainy weather system is expected to affect Northwest (Thrace) segments on Monday, April 7.
The statement highlighted that while air temperatures are currently around seasonal norms, a decrease in temperatures is expected on Monday in Thrace, specifically in Edirne, Kirklareli, and Tekirdag.
In addition, mixed rain with snow is expected in Istanbul on Monday, April 7, with potentially strong rainfall in certain areas. Looking ahead to Tuesday, April 8, the forecast indicates rain and snow in the eastern region of Istanbul, as well as in Kocaeli, Sakarya, and Yalova.
The Governor’s Office emphasized the importance of monitoring the meteorological evaluations and early warnings provided by the General Directorate of Meteorology of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate. These warnings are crucial in preparing for potential frost and agricultural frost events that may occur as a result of the anticipated snowfall.
