Istanbul Governor Gül Warns of Circulation of Manipulative Shares
Istanbul Governor Davut Gul has issued a warning regarding the spread of misinformation about an expected major earthquake through social media platforms. Governor Gul emphasized that these manipulative shares and voice recordings have no scientific basis and are only intended to spread panic among citizens.
In a statement shared on his social media account, Governor Gul said, “Great earthquake is expected in social media channels in the form of manipulative shares and sound recordings are circulated. No scientific data, such poets, do not carry any purpose other than shipping our citizens.”
He urged citizens not to believe these unfounded claims and assured them that there is no scientific evidence to support the prediction of a major earthquake.
