Italy Leads Kazakhstan’s Exports in First Half of 2024
In the first half of 2024, Italy emerged as the top destination for Kazakhstan’s exports, according to Kazinform. Kazakhstan exported goods worth $9 billion to Italy, representing 23.6% of the total exports during this period.
This figure is $2 billion higher compared to the same period last year, indicating a significant growth in trade between the two countries. China followed closely behind, accounting for 18.6% of Kazakhstan’s exports with a value of $7.3 billion.
Not only is China a key export market for Kazakhstan, but it also ranks second in imports, with a 24.5% share or $6.7 billion worth of goods imported by Kazakhstan. Russia also played a significant role in trade, with 10.9% of Kazakhstan’s exports valued at $4.2 billion, and importing goods worth $7.9 billion, making up 28.6% of the total imports.
Additionally, France, Türkiye, Greece, Romania, South Korea, and the United States were also listed among Kazakhstan’s largest exporters, with varying shares of the country’s total exports.
The strong trade relationships with these countries highlight Kazakhstan’s growing presence in the global market and the importance of diversifying its trade partners for sustainable economic growth.
