Izmir Cracks Down on Irregular Immigration at Hotels and Apartments
Police Crack Down on Irregular Immigration in Basmane District
In a recent operation, police teams in the Basmane district, under the coordination of the Provincial Police Department and the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management, checked the reception records of several hotels and apartments. The focus of the operation was to verify the documents of irregular immigrants residing in the area.
During the operation, it was discovered that some irregular immigrants were not properly registered in their accommodations and did not have a work or residence permit. As a result, these individuals were sent to the mobile migration point in Bornova by buses.
Furthermore, it was revealed that irregular immigrants found to be missing crucial documents will be referred to the Removal Center for processing.
In addition to these efforts, the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams also conducted hygiene and food safety inspections in the accommodation areas, ensuring the well-being of those residing there.
The operation serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts to manage irregular immigration and enforce the necessary regulations to uphold public safety and order in the region.
