İzmir Commences Voting for Presidential and Parliamentary Elections

The province of İzmir has established 9,877 ballot boxes in schools for the Turkish Presidential and 28th Term Parliamentary Elections. Election security is being maintained with 12,175 personnel from the Provincial Security Directorate, 886 vehicles, 3,363 personnel and 657 vehicles from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, and 165 personnel and 15 vehicles from the Coast Guard Command. A total of 15,707 personnel and 1,558 vehicles have been deployed to ensure the safety of the elections.

İzmir has a total of 3,442,424 registered voters who have started to cast their votes. A voter named Mehmet Ali Kasalı expressed his hope that the election will be held according to democratic principles. He wished for a positive outcome that will benefit Turkey’s future and be safe for all who participate in the electoral process.

Another voter, named Ahmet Gözyaya, shared his thoughts on the length of the ballot paper, saying that it was wide and contained too many parties. However, he praised the people’s willingness to vote despite this and wished for the good candidate to win.
