Deputy Minister of Defense of Japan Visits Mongolia
On May 5-6, Deputy Minister of Defense of Japan, Makoto Oniki, visited Mongolia as part of the ongoing cooperation between the Ministries of Defense of Mongolia and Japan. The visit was welcomed by Deputy Minister of Defense of Mongolia, B.Bayarmagnai, and during their meeting, they discussed bilateral defense relations and cooperation.
This visit follows a meeting between the defense ministers of both countries in February earlier this year. During this meeting, the Deputy Ministers agreed on the implementation of previous discussions, the development of defense research and analysis, and the execution of joint projects and programs.
As part of his visit, Deputy Minister Makoto Oniki paid respects at the Japanese Citizens Memorial in Mongolia. He also visited the Mongolian Army Land Forces Command to familiarize himself with their operations.
The ongoing cooperation between Mongolia and Japan in the defense sector is a testament to the strong relationship between the two countries. Such interactions and exchanges are crucial in promoting peace and security in the region.
