Jordan’s King Abdullah Advocates for Gaza’s Safety and Humanitarian Aid
In a recent visit to Abu Dhabi, King Abdullah of Jordan met with UAE President Al Nahyan as part of his Gulf tour, which also included stops in Bahrain and Qatar. The leaders focused on addressing the ongoing attacks by Israel on Gaza and finding ways to protect innocent civilians.
During their discussions, the leaders emphasized the urgent need for the international community to intervene and put an end to the attacks on Gaza. They stressed the importance of providing full protection to civilians, in accordance with international human rights law. To achieve this, there was a mutual agreement on the necessity of establishing a safe and sustainable humanitarian aid corridor in Gaza. This would involve delivering necessary aid to the region through international human rights organizations.
In addition to addressing the immediate crisis, King Abdullah and President Al Nahyan recognized the importance of preventing further violence and instability in the region. They called for a political approach to achieve a fair, comprehensive, and sustainable peace based on the two-state solution. This solution, they believe, is crucial for ensuring stability and peace in Palestine.
King Abdullah also highlighted the importance of breaking the blockade on Gaza to prevent the humanitarian situation from further deteriorating. The leaders expressed their commitment to working towards opening avenues for humanitarian aid to reach the people of Gaza and alleviate their suffering.
The visit by King Abdullah to Abu Dhabi signifies Jordan’s active involvement and concern for the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Their joint efforts with the UAE and other regional players demonstrate the determination to find a lasting solution that brings security and peace to the Palestinian people.
