Journalist Oktay Ensari Dies in Tragic Incident
We are saddened to report the passing of Oktay Ensari, President of the Kayseri Branch of the Turkish Sports Writers Association. Ensari, who had been undergoing treatment for various illnesses in a private hospital, passed away in the morning. Born in 1957, Ensari had a long and illustrious career in journalism, starting in his high school years in newspapers such as Ülker, Hakimiyet, Milli Ülkü, and Kayseri Newspapers.
With over 40 years of experience in the field, Ensari worked as the DHA Bureau Chief at the Hürriyet News Agency, later transitioning to the Demirören News Agency. He was also a founding member of the Kayseri Journalists Association and served as its president. Additionally, he held the position of President of the Turkish Sports Writers Association.
His dedication to journalism and unwavering commitment to the profession will be remembered by all who knew him. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
