
Kaan Ketenci Caught in Corruption Probe at IMM

Kaan Ketenci, who was sought in the corruption investigation in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), has been caught in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, along with President Ekrem Imamoglu and 99 other suspects, have initiated an investigation into alleged crimes including being a part of a criminal organization, bribery, fraud, and mischief in tenders.
The Istanbul Police Department’s Financial Crimes Branch Directorate teams worked tirelessly to locate and apprehend Ketenci, who was the owner of an advertising company involved in the corruption scandal. With the cooperation of the authorities in the TRNC, the suspect was arrested and brought back to Istanbul for further legal proceedings.
Ketenci will now face charges related to the corruption allegations and will appear before the court to answer for his actions. The investigation into the corruption within the IMM continues to uncover new details, with the recent focus on alleged bribery involving illegal structures in Vaniköy.
