Kağan Mındıkoğlu re-elected as President of KT Island Employees Union – BRTK
The Turkish Cypriot Island Employees Union recently held its first ordinary general assembly at the union building. The union announced that Kağan Mındıkoğlu has been re-elected as president.
The general assembly was attended by important figures including Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, Minister of Finance Özdemir Berova, Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu, and Minister of Labor and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu.
During his speech, Ada-Sen President Kağan Mındıkoğlu highlighted the growth and success of the union since its establishment in November 2019. Mındıkoğlu expressed pride in the union’s financial stability and recent achievements in signing collective bargaining agreements with private companies.
The general assembly also saw the election of the union’s board of directors and members of the disciplinary and supervisory board. Overall, the event was a testament to the strong and united community of workers on the island.
