Katalin Szili Calls for Regional Economic Cooperation to Counter Globalism

The Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister, Katalin Szili, emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in the Carpathian Basin at a meeting in Budapest. She stressed that such cooperation would help minimize the exposure of the region’s economies and create opportunities to access EU funds and promote the development of border regions.
Furthermore, Katalin Szili highlighted that the role and the center of gravity of the Carpathian Basin will be particularly important in the renewal of Europe. She also emphasized that regional cooperation should be a driving force for strengthening bilateral relations and fostering common knowledge, language, and interest.
The National Forum of Hungarian Entrepreneurs’ Associations in the Carpathian Basin (KMVNF) serves as a consultative community for cooperation and joint thinking, with 22 cross-border business associations involved in the initiative. These associations, with over 6,000 member companies, are primarily focused on employing Hungarian workers.
Ultimately, the goal of the KMVNF is to create a platform for regional cooperation in the Carpathian Basin and promote economic development in the area. Katalin Szili’s remarks at the event underscore the importance of regional cooperation in driving the economic and developmental potential of the Carpathian Basin.
