KazAID Provides Aid to Four Countries in 2024
Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID) Extends Humanitarian Assistance to Afghanistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Vietnam in 2024
In a show of solidarity and support, the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID) provided humanitarian aid to various countries in 2024. Afghanistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Vietnam were the recipients of this assistance, aimed at alleviating challenges and fostering stability in these regions.
Specifically, Afghanistan received 5,000 liters of vegetable oil, 795 tons of rice, and 1,000 tons of first-grade flour from Kazakhstan. The aid was essential in addressing the food insecurity and nutritional needs of the Afghan population.
For the Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan extended its help by providing 2,000 tons of diesel fuel to deal with an accident at the Bishkek thermal power plant. Additionally, essential items like pasta, buckwheat, canned meat, and tea were supplied to assist those affected by natural disasters in the Osh region.
Tajikistan benefited from humanitarian aid worth 2.5 billion tenge (US$5.65 million), including significant quantities of fuel oil, diesel fuel, buckwheat, vegetable oil, and condensed milk. The support was crucial in responding to emergencies and supporting the affected communities in Tajikistan.
Moreover, Kazakhstan allocated $100,000 to Vietnam, reinforcing its commitment to global solidarity and cooperation in times of need.
All humanitarian aid deliveries were facilitated by KazAID, which plays a vital role in coordinating assistance to countries in need and promoting Official Development Assistance (ODA) for regional and global stability. By executing Kazakhstan’s state policy in ODA, KazAID aims to foster sustainable growth and development in partner countries, showcase Kazakhstan’s achievements, and facilitate knowledge exchange among specialists from different nations.
Through these efforts, Kazakhstan continues to demonstrate its commitment to international cooperation and humanitarian support, contributing to the well-being and resilience of communities in diverse regions.
